Sometimes I wonder
if you haven’t a clue,
that beyond being friends
I’m also in love with you.
I pray for a day
when the light will dawn;
and become a reality,
that there is more
than a friendship
between you and me.
But until then I must
keep a lock on my heart,
be your best friend
and hide this other part,
because
I love you enough
to continue to dream;
and hold on tight;
there will come a day
you will see me,
in a different light
